7
o' clock and all's well!

A
very good read through, I think. We managed to get through
the whole play without too much incident. I am happy
with what I have. There are one or three parts still
to be taken but all in all not a bad start.
I
do dislike being SO tightly cast, though. It doesn't
give any room for the inevitable 'drop outs' (The price
one pays working in amateur theatre.) but tis early
days.

Entertain
me. Peel me a grape.

Not
really Alice blog but I HAVE to mention Beauty and the
Beast, Moira's excellent poetry and prose. I thoroughly
enjoyed the evening. Excellent entertainment.

If
you prick me, do I not
bleed?
|
I
have come to the conclusion that I should take up a
different hobby. I'm really not suited to AMATEUR drama
at all. I expect too much of people. I expect people
to appreciate the amount of time I put in to writing
and producing plays. Pros do that by paying for what
you do. A writer may be nearly at the bottom of the
food chain in professional theatre but at least people
respect what he/she does.
If
I were not an absolutely stubborn and rather unemotional
person. I would throw up my hands in despair and say
a pox on all of you, pack up my traps and go.
I
was expecting drop outs but from the children but not
Chrissie but she didn't like the script (She scarcely
had time to read it) and she can't work with me. G*d
preserve me from bloody divas.
What
a strange world we live in.
