It has always been the policy of the Society to encourage young people and that's not just 'cause we want you to be in the chorus of the pantomime. Other Society's may use their junior members as cannon fodder for the 'big show' to get the mums and dads 'bums on seats', we don't.

Theatr Fach Juniors are encouraged to put forward ideas for shows. Our Summer Show was once completely organised by the junior members.

Under 16s have contributed to the writing of a street play performed in Dolgellau for the Queen's Jubilee and frequently take center stage in the Pantomime and other productions.

This year, as one of the new features of the newly launched web site, we are offering a play writing competition with a special category for young people to contribute their work. Go HERE for details.

Occasionally, we're contacted by TV companies looking for people to take part in shows or drama. Frequently these opportunities are for young people. By being a member of Theatr Fach, you will find out about these opportunities before other people.

Most of these TV companies are looking for young people who already have the self confidence that public performance can give, that is why they come to us in the first place. We can give you the confidence to at least try.

So what's the bottom line? How much will membership of Theatr Fach cost you in readies? At the moment less than 5p a week. Straight up that's all. And for that you get a chance to do all sorts of things you never thought you could do and you get a news letter half a dozen times a year and access to the interactive bits of the web site (when I get them sorted)

So, whatcha waitin' for? Join us. You KNOW it makes sense.

Best Wishes
